Meet Ismaila Diarra, a 2025-26 graduate of the Livingstones School of Missions. As part of his six-month field training, Ismaila and his ministry partner traveled to northeastern Ghana to share the gospel.

On their first day, they prayed from 8:00 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. for God's protection and saving work, believing that prayer paves the way for the gospel.

At first, when Ismaila and his partner offered to share the gospel and show the Jesus Film, no one would listen.

And soon, their avoidance turned into aggression. The village imam stirred up local youth to attack Ismaila upon his return from evangelizing the surrounding villages. But after a community elder heard of their plan, he intervened and prevented the attack.

Rather than giving up, Ismaila engaged the community through sports! The sports tournament brought the entire community together and helped build trust, opening the door for Ismaila to show the Jesus Film.

At one of those outreaches, a man who had been partially paralyzed after a stroke asked Ismaila to pray for him, and God answered!

He could move, stand, and walk! His family then believed and were baptized.

By God's grace, 206 people gave their lives to Christ during Ismaila's time on the field. Now, Ismaila hopes to preach the gospel in Somalia—a country that is globally ranked second for persecuting Christians.

Please pray for Ismaila as he seeks to reach multitudes for Christ!

The Next Wave

Praise the Lord that 35 new students have now begun this same program and, in just one week of practical field training, have already seen 1,772 people place their

faith in Christ!

Pray for these students as they grow into faithful missionaries and boldly proclaim the gospel to the ends of the earth!
