Meet the Team: Vincent Andrews

Get to know the OneWay team! This week we'd like to introduce you to one of our summer interns.

Hometown: Grosse Pointe, MI

College: Calvin University

Major: Psychology & Music Composition

OneWay track: Music Production

Music is Vincent's passion. Romantic era and modernistic piano repertoire is where he experiences pure bliss. He finds himself lost in works of Messiaen, Debussy, Gershwin, Liszt, and more. Vincent enjoys playing jazz, classical, and baroque music. Though he is an instrumentalist, Vincent favors opera, especially Messiaen’s Saint Francois d’Assise.

“It's an acquired taste but I love it and recommend Messiaen’s music to anyone for its uniqueness and harmonic color.”

Not only does Vincent love listening to music, but he also loves composing for solo piano, orchestra, choir, jazz band, and more. Vincent recently wrote an opera based on Shakespeare's All’s Well that Ends well.

Beyond the music and composing, Vincent seeks to have a deep and authentic relationship with Christ. He would like to see God move young people to be able to discern better what God’s plan is for them and for them to see what their roles as Christians are for the world. His word for God in this season of life is “provident” because no matter what things he plans, God is provident over everything.

“The heart of man plans his way, but the Lord establishes his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
