Get to know the OneWay team! We'd like to introduce you to one of the people working behind the scenes at OneWay to help Reach People.
When Beth Beckman traveled to Ghana for a short-term mission trip in 2011 with her whole family, she had no idea she would fall in love with the people there. She and her husband, Pete, immediately got involved and started serving remotely with OneWay Africa.
“We love using the gifts and experiences God has given us to share the love of Jesus with people in remote and least-reached areas of the world,” Beckman said.
As the leaders of BiblePlus, the Beckmans combine partner-recorded audio Bibles with other locally-recorded Christian resources in native African languages to be distributed on solar-powered units and microSD cards for Android mobile phones. These resources help believers evangelize and disciple others in regions where indigenous language resources are scarce and Internet access and electricity is limited.
When Beckman isn’t working on BiblePlus, you can find her climbing a mountain, riding a bike, camping or doing anything outdoors. She has even run the Boston Marathon!
