OneWay Track: Administration and Worship
Valerie “Val” Feyen loves music and serving others. As a child, she got involved in every music ensemble and church ministry she could find. By the time she graduated high school, her passions for people and music combined into a calling to study music therapy at Wartburg College.
During college, Val got involved in a local church, Riverwood, on the worship team. When her worship leader found out she was looking for summer employment opportunities, he recommended that Val look for an internship with OneWay. When she looked OneWay up online, she was encouraged by its missional focus and desire to equip young adults.
“The more I learned about OneWay, the more I knew I wanted to be part of this internship,” Val said. “I'm excited that this work will be for God’s glory!”
During her summer at OneWay, Val will serve as an administrative assistant, helping advance the organization's day-to-day functions. She will also lend her musical talents to OneWay’s worship team, growing her skills as a musician and a leader.
Val is a master at crushing to-do lists, often with a coffee or tea. When she’s not working, Val enjoys taking a walk, baking or trying new foods!
