Get to know the OneWay team! This week we'd like to introduce you to one of our summer interns.
During her sophomore year at Grace College, God put the country of Ghana on Kate’s heart. When she learned that a major part of OneWay’s work is in Ghana, she knew this was how God was leading her to spend her summer! She felt that there was simply no other option for this summer and knew God had big plans for her time here with us.
Kate’s gifts in writing and journalism led her mom to suggest a career in writing. At first Kate thought that just meant writing books — something not quite in her interests — but being one part of our communications team has given her insight about other directions she could go.
“I was clueless about what I wanted to do with my life, but OneWay has really given me some clarity,” she said.” I would like to further pursue writing blog posts and being a social media marketer. I didn't realize writing could also be for blogs. OneWay has really shown me that!”
When Kate is not at the office, you can catch her competing with other interns in sports, hammocking, reading her Bible or a good book, listening to a podcast or spending quality time with friends.
