I’m so glad you are taking the time to hear about my upcoming internship!
I’ve finished my third year as a Communications major at Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. This year, I worked as a designer for the school yearbook and our annual Art & Theology publication, and I also helped lead worship at my church in Chicago. I have enjoyed working with people and being creative whenever I can.
This summer I’m completing a requirement for my degree by taking on a residential design internship with OneWay Ministries. OneWay’s mission is to mobilize people to exalt Jesus and advance the good news about Him to the world. They do this by equipping and sending missionaries, creating media to inspire prayer, and activating the next generation of believers (that’s me!). As part of their summer internship team, I’ll be helping to create materials used for marketing, social media, and print. It will be my first chance to design for a ministry for ten weeks and see if this is something I’d like to pursue in the future.
This will not be just a job — I’m anticipating a time of personal growth. I want to sharpen my creative skills in a way that can help shape me spiritually. I’ll also be engaging in regular mentoring, discipleship, corporate prayer and worship, and activities with the staff and the interns I’ll be living with.
I need your help. In past summers I have used the months away from school to work full-time to save toward the costs of education. God has faithfully provided the work each year, and I have no student loans. Would you be interested in helping me? I am raising funds to help replace money that would be normally earned in a traditional job arrangement.

Your prayer is also important. Pray that God will use the materials I create to spur believers to pray and share the gospel. Pray for unity among the interns. Pray that God will give me an openness to what He wants to teach me this summer. And pray that in all of this I will come to know and love Him more and grow in my desire to serve Him with my entire life.

Develop and implement initiatives to engage believers in the Great Commission including print materials and digital marketing.

Create content and ideas to express the heart, mission and vision of OneWay and communicate events, initiatives and special projects.

Support the ministries of OneWay by telling key stories of global impact in visual media pieces.

Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.
