Meet the Team: David Morrill

Get to know the OneWay team! This week we'd like to introduce you to one of the people who work behind the scenes at OneWay to help Reach People.

David Morrill spent 37 years building bridges as a structural engineer prior to becoming the chief operations officer at OneWay. He brings a systematic way of thinking and a practical approach to keep projects and people on track, yet bears a sense of personal responsibility for the well-being of the people he leads.

“I love the fact that OneWay is not just maintaining what we are doing today, but wanting to grow so that more and more of the unreached people groups of the world will be introduced to Jesus for the first time,” said David, who joined the OneWay team in May 2020.

He was introduced to OneWay when a board member visited his church and told him about the ministry’s search for a COO. David was serving as an administrative pastor after retiring from a long career in engineering. The OneWay board member shared the ministry’s vision to

see multitudes come to a saving faith in Christ, which was the same vision the Lord had placed on David’s heart. Both David and the board member believed they had found a perfect match.

“Seeing people accept Jesus Christ as their personal savior” is the most rewarding part of his job. “There is no greater joy.” Working with dedicated, godly people who are committed to the same is a close second, he said.

David is an avid pickleball player. He and his wife, Deborah, have two grown children and four grandsons under four years old. He also enjoys a good mountain hike.
