MY STORY
The Lord has called me into vocational ministry and at first that was not at all what I imagined for life after college! The call initially came at the Passion Conference at the beginning of 2022.
At the end of one session, we were asked to write down where we felt God was sending us. Going
to another country, away from my family, away from American comforts, was the last thing I wanted to consider. Yet, a quiet but relentless voice whispered, “Ghana.” After a bit of wrestling, I wrote it down, not being able to think of anything else, and quickly tucked it away.
A few weeks later, I was running through my college cafeteria lobby when a booth that was offering stickers caught my eye. I walked over, and the people explained the vision of this nonprofit ministry called OneWay.
I asked them about the countries where they do ministry. “Ghana,” they answered, among several others. But as you can imagine, “Ghana” was the only one I heard. I was shocked but knew where the Lord was leading me. My internship at OneWay the following summer was so good that I came back for a second one which further confirmed my calling and established my newfound dream to
use the gifts God has given me to share the gospel.
By God’s kindness, I was able to go to Ghana this past October with a team from OneWay and the trip further confirmed my calling. I saw the faces of those who live across the world that God loves and desires a relationship with just as much. I
danced and talked and sang with the hungry souls who would directly and eternally be impacted by the work I would dedicate my life to. Very quickly, the country that had previously been written on my heart, without my say in the matter, became the country my heart now wildly and passionately beats for.
I believe the Lord is calling me back to OneWay to work full-time to create and share investment opportunities with others that will get the Word of God in unreached peoples’ hands and the name of Jesus in their hearts. I will be serving in communications, and part of my role will include advocacy for OneWay Africa, based in in Ghana!
The Lord has given me gifts in communication as well as a burning passion to reach and save the lost. Graciously and intricately, He has provided me with a job that combines the two. It would be a dream for me to serve the Kingdom in this way.
MY GOALS

Work with the Communications Team to develop and implement initiatives that include creating print materials, designing social media posts and writing impact stories

Help create content ideas to express the heart, mission and vision of OneWay, as well as communicate events, initiatives and special projects

Work with the OneWay Africa team and serve as a liaison between the staff in Africa and the U.S.

Grow and foster relationships with partners who support the ministry's work in Africa
