MY STORY

 

This year the Lord has changed my life and given me great direction. In the early winter months of my senior year of high school, I was wrestling with my next steps. As I sought advice and prayed, I felt led to pursue college, yet also sensed a deep tug to step into ministry right now. I battled the tension and didn’t know if both could somehow fit together at the same time. The Lord has been faithful to give me direction and has led my steps.

After much prayer and counsel I felt the Lord leading me to study Biblical Studies for Christian Leadership at Liberty University Online while serving on staff at OneWay Ministries. For the past six months, I’ve worked as the Website Manager—building and updating websites that help people take real action to reach the lost. Through these websites, God is bearing fruit—tens of thousands have been guided to pray, give generously, and practically make an impact to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord!

I also had the privilege of serving alongside 18 young adult interns who gave their summer to work that helped reach the lost. Their time was full of intense discipleship, deep friendships, and life change—and witnessing that transformation stirred in me a deep passion to see more young people boldly live out the Great Commission Christ gave us—to make disciples of all nations.

Today, more than 5 billion people worldwide still don’t have a saving relationship with Jesus. Yet Jesus said, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.” The problem isn’t that people aren’t ready—the people are reachable. The problem is there are too few devoted workers reaching them.

​

In this next season, I’ll continue managing OneWay’s websites while also leading recruitment efforts and cultivating community for OneWay’s Internship Program—gathering the workers Jesus spoke of to reach the harvest. I’ll help young adults step into hands-on ministry, grow in a mission-driven community, and launch into lifelong service for Christ.

I’m excited to see what God will do as I follow His lead—using both websites and direct relationships with young adults to raise up workers who will give their lives to reach people for Christ, just as Jesus did.
