MY STORY
Dear friend,
I am excited to tell you about where God is leading me this summer!
As I was wrapping up my spring semester studying visual communications at Northern Illinois University, I was thinking that this summer was going to be just another summer.
I didn’t have any solid plans, other than to explore some of my newer hobbies.
That changed when one of my dad’s friends asked if anyone in their workout group knew any students looking for an internship. This friend works for a ministry called OneWay, which is a family of missions and media ministries with a vision to reach people around the world with the gospel. His specific ministry is to use the internet to engage in conversation with Muslims who are searching for information on Christianity.
I found out that OneWay offered internships in graphic design so I quickly sent a text to learn more. Within a matter of minutes of hitting send, I was on a video call learning
about the things OneWay does and ways my skills could be used to advance the Kingdom.
It had not occurred to me that I could use my graphic design skills to share the gospel with people living in places that are hard to reach by spoken word. It became clear to me that the Lord was providing an opportunity to
grow in the form of an internship at OneWay this summer.
I’m praying that I will be able to impact the lives of those my work reaches and to grow in my design skills in the process. In addition, I will be involved in a Christ-loving, Christ- centered community that seeks to share the gospel with unreached people.
I would like to invite you to walk alongside me as I get involved in this ministry this summer. Would you prayerfully consider helping me achieve my internship’s financial goals?

Work with the digital evangelism team to create graphics that attract people seeking information about Jesus and the gospel message.
Learn marketing strategies, grow my visual communication skills and refine my graphic design skills to effectively communicate targeted messages.
Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.
Build relationships as part of a young adult team that lives together in community housing. I'll attend retreats, staff lunches and worship with interns and the ministry team.
