FINANCE ASSISTANT

Role Title: Finance Assistant

Term: Part-time, permanent. 

Location: Remote with some days onsite in the Aurora IL. office.

Reports to: Finance Manager

 

Works Closely With: Finance Manager, Other Finance Assistants, online donors, fundraising staff and interns, program managers, and tech support representatives.

 

Work Hours: 20 hours/week; more as approved by manager.

Benefits: Serving God and Accrued vacation and sick time.


Pay: Volunteer or $14.00/Hr to start and eligible for a $1.00 raise after a successful 6 month probationary period.

Summary:

 

We are looking for someone who loves Jesus and wants to be a part of a team that works to see people come to Christ. This is a ministry position, and this person’s ministry role will be to support the programs and people who are focused on bringing people to Christ.

 

Responsibilities:

 

Accounts Receivable for EGS, WePay,

  • Process online payments and generate receipts in Aplos (Our Finance Platform.)

  • Previous experience with WePay, EGS, and other donation platforms is helpful but not necessary.

 

Accounts Payable via Chase Bank Online Bill Pay or Zelle: 

  • Process vendor payments approved by a manager. 

  • Process reimbursement requests submitted by Staff

Staff/Intern Support:

  • Respond to staff/intern concerns and questions by email or telephone.

 

Donor Support:

  • Address donor requests/inquiries through email and telephone contact.

 

General Bookkeeping entries:

  • Makes monthly repeating bookkeeping entries

    

Finance Special Projects:

  • Initiate donation platform tech support inquiries and perform follow-up, as needed.

  • Assist with End-of-Year donor information statements.. 

  • Duties as assigned

Overall Goals and Deliverables:

  • Respond to donor, staff, and intern needs, daily, if possible.

  • Generate receipts, update deposit records, and enter/match deposit batches, weekly.

  • Experience in Accounts Payable and Receivable is a plus but not required.
