MY STORY
Four years ago, God opened the door for me to study music at Taylor University. During my time at college, I have had opportunities to serve God with my musical gifts at my church, in Taylor’s chapel bands, the student-led gospel choir, and other worship events either as a worship leader or as a musician. By God’s grace, I’ve helped lead congregational worship and reached out to people who never heard the gospel.
However, I hadn’t really gotten involved outside of my community and my church. I began to pray that God would open a door for me to serve somewhere this summer. A good friend of mine told me about OneWay Ministries, where he had interned for the past two summers. OneWay is a family of media and missions ministries based in the Chicago area that works to rally the Church to reach the lost.
I applied for the internship and everything began to fall into place. I had wonderful, meaningful interviews with OneWay staff members, who helped me learn more about what the ministry is involved in and their heart for discipling young adults in ministry. My heart's desire is to use my gifts
and talents to serve the Kingdom and grow as a disciple of Christ. After learning about OneWay, I knew I wanted to serve and grow alongside their team this summer!
This summer, I’ll serve as an intern in the music and worship track as well as work on
the video production team to help accomplish a massive goal of creating 100 videos in 70 days for Prayercast, one of OneWay’s ministries. Prayercast seeks to activate world-changing prayer by creating artistic videos to rally believers to pray for the nations.
I am looking forward to learning, growing, and serving for the Kingdom this summer, and to see what the Lord will do with me.

Work with the Studios Team to create and edit artistically-flavored videos to rally the church to pray for the nations.
Grow in my skills as a musician and worship leader by working with others on the OneWay team to facilitate times of worship and various musical projects.
Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.
Build relationships as part of a young adult team that lives together in community housing. I'll attend retreats, staff lunches and worship with interns and the ministry team.
