MY STORY
Dear friend,
I have some exciting news I want to share with you about where God is leading me this summer!
In my early years of high school, I was never the most devout Christian. I had grown up with a religious background but had never fully embraced it. That all changed when a mentor/teacher entered my life and showed me Jesus in a way I had never experienced before. My teacher’s love and guidance ignited a passion in me for my faith.
During my search for universities, I was faced with a difficult decision. While many public universities were offering me a great number of scholarships, no schools called out to me more than Taylor University did. It felt like the right choice despite the financial burden it would be.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, I was able to attend Taylor University and study film and media production. In the time I’ve spent here, my faith has been challenged and deepened in ways I never would have expected. In addition to this, my studies also revealed to me the power of the media in spreading the gospel message, and I became
increasingly passionate about using my talents to further that goal.
That's when a friend reached out to me about an opportunity to intern as a video editor at OneWay Ministries. As soon as I heard about it, I knew that this was what God was calling me to do. I will be part of a team working together toward a massive goal of creating 100 videos in 70 days for OneWay’s Prayercast ministry. Prayercast seeks to activate world-changing prayer by creating artistic videos to rally believers to pray for the nations.
I’m excited to use my skills and my faith to make a difference in the world and spread the message of Christ's love. I hope to not only refine my love for visual storytelling but also be involved in a Christ-loving, Christ- centered community that seeks to share the gospel with unreached people, while also fostering my own faith in Jesus Christ.
Would you prayerfully consider helping me achieve my internship’s financial goals by May 20? If you are unable to give financially, I ask that you pray for me, OneWay and the rest of the interns this summer as we work to reach people all over the world with the gospel!
Thank you for your prayerful consideration!
