MY STORY
Hi friends,
I’m writing to share with you about an exciting opportunity I have been given this summer!
During my last two years at Taylor University, the providence of the Lord has been so evident in my life. I have been blessed with opportunities to improve my media skills in a myriad of ways through my classes and jobs. This summer I had plans to return home and continue working in the sports media industry, when one random Thursday I found myself skimming an email from OneWay Ministries.
This email described their Prayercast ministry, which is dedicated to producing prayer videos about specific nations and people groups, equipping Christians to be able to pray effectively for those who need it. The next Sunday at my church, a missionary family we support shared a powerful video about how God is actively working and changing lives through their ministry. As I sat there, I scanned the room and was moved by
how it engaged every person in the congregation.
I thought back to the email I had read earlier that week. When people ask me what I want
to accomplish in my career, I often mention that I would like to serve in ministry at some point in the future. For the first time in my
life, I felt a strong conviction about this goal of mine. God was tugging at my heart saying “Why wait?” I thought of Mordecai's words to Esther in Esther 4:14. Who was I to say no to His calling?
Throughout the application process, it became abundantly clear that OneWay is where God wants me this summer, and I couldn’t be more excited!
My internship started May 20. I am part of a team working together toward a massive goal of creating 100 videos in 70 days for Prayercast.

MY GOALS

Work with the Studios Team to create and edit artistically-flavored videos to rally the church to pray for the nations.

Grow in my skills as a videographer, video editor and producer as I work alongside a team that is producing media to bring multitudes to Christ.

Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.

Build relationships as part of a young adult team that lives together in community housing. I'll attend retreats, staff lunches and worship with interns and the ministry team.
