MY STORY
During my first couple of years at Anderson University, one question kept popping up in my mind as I worked on projects for my Cinema and Media Arts major. What is the purpose of this? I wondered if my ministry would somehow have to be outside of my calling in the film industry.
I couldn’t really see a way for God to truly move in my field. I kept praying for God to show me a way to make this happen.
Then one week in one of my Screenwriting classes, a speaker from OneWay visited and shared the ministry's vision to use media
to rally the Church to pray for the world. Through OneWay’s Prayercast ministry, they create artistically-flavored videos, mobilizing believers to pray for each country. This was the first time I saw how I could use my passion for film-making as a ministry.
When it came time to start looking for a summer internship, OneWay was the first organization on my mind. After I was able to talk to them in person, I felt more and more that God was calling me to serve there. I finally feel like there is a way to serve God with my talents and abilities in film-making.
I am hoping and praying that my work at OneWay this summer will be a part of His greater story and that through my work, the world will see Him move. I think there is a truly amazing opportunity in this global ministry to use film for His glory.

MY GOALS

Work with the Studios Team to create and edit artistically-flavored videos to rally the church to pray for the nations.

Grow in my skills as a videographer, video editor and producer as I work alongside a team that is producing media to bring multitudes to Christ.

Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.

Build relationships as part of a young adult team that lives together in community housing. I'll attend retreats, staff lunches and worship with interns and the ministry team.
