Role Title: Donor Relations Specialist

Summary:

 

We are looking for a part-time Donor Relations Specialist to focus on expressing appreciation to OneWay’s donors. The Donor Relations Specialist will also ensure that donor contacts are recorded and that ongoing communication channels are in place. This person is a donor advocate.

 

Responsibilities:

 

• Become familiar with non-profit donor appreciation best practices 

• Work with advancement, finance, and communications team to design a written donor appreciation plan

• Process weekly donor reports by tagging gifts to be acknowledged and assigning them to the appropriate channels

• Carry out appropriate gift acknowledgements

• Keep records of all donor appreciation activity in the appropriate database or software

• Obtain needed print materials from communications (stationery, thank you cards, etc.)

• Act as an advocate and liaison between donors and OneWay leadership; contribute ideas

• Ensures that donors are put on appropriate communications lists

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Pays close attention to detail

• Able to stay organized and meet deadlines

• Comfortable working in multiple online software platforms 

• Good handwriting is a plus

Must have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and agree with the OneWay Statement of Faith. 

 

Compensation Statement:

 

OneWay has various compensation models, including individual support-raising, stipends and salaried positions. Compensation is dependent on the individual and the position. Preference will be given to candidates who are willing to raise support, but others will be considered. This is a part-time position of 15 to 25 hours per week.
