MY STORY
Hi friends and family,
I have exciting news to share with you about where God is leading me this year!
Ever since I was a little girl, I have wanted to be a missionary. I have always had a heart to love and serve others, and I want others to discover the love and grace I have found
in Jesus. But as I got older, I realized I didn’t know how to get involved in missions. I was just a girl who loved reading and writing. How could God use someone like me in missions?
Then last year I came across an Instagram post from OneWay Ministries, a media and missions organization in the Chicago area. They offer summer internships and year-long residency programs for young adults who want to use their gifts for God’s Kingdom.
Fast forward to March 2023. It was just a regular Monday full of classes and work... until two different people showed meOneWay’s internship flyer, my professor recommended OneWay's residency program to me, and a OneWay representative visiting campus recognized me from our Instagram conversation a few months
earlier. I think God was trying to show me something! I applied, and just 10 days later, I accepted a one-year residency position at OneWay.
During the past four years at Cedarville, God has given me a love for missions and a passion for stories. I love creating content that inspires and encourages others, especially on social media. That’s why I’m so excited to serve on OneWay’s Advancement Team for this coming year, managing the ministry’s social media content and sharing stories of God’s work throughout His Kingdom. I will learn and grow alongside other interns and residents as we seek to advance the Kingdom.
If I could go back and tell that younger version of myself that I am going into missions, she would be ecstatic! I can’t wait to see what God has in store for me as I pursue the path He has so clearly given me for this next year.

MY GOALS

Work with the Advancement Team to develop and implement initiatives that include creating social media posts, writing impact stories and coordinating ministry events.

Help create content ideas to express the heart, mission and vision of OneWay, as well as communicate events, initiatives and special projects.

Grow spiritually through group teaching times, individual mentorship, small group discipleship, corporate prayer and worship events.

Build relationships as part of a young adult team that lives together in community housing. I'll attend retreats, staff lunches and worship with interns and the ministry team.
