for Fall 2015, Spring 2016, and Summer 2016 Interns!

Q: What does a summer internship look like at OWM?

A: Summers at OWM are crazy and fun with 15-20 college interns, plus some junior interns.  Interns work full time 5 days a week on projects that advance the gospel around the world, geared toward their building their skill set in their area.  Out of town interns live together in a “community house”, with a greater emphasis on community and social activities outside of the workday.  Interns participate in 45 minutes a day of topical group discipleship sessions, and have the opportunity for personal mentorship as well.  Many students use this internship for college credit.

Q: What does a semester internship look like at OWM?

Semester internships bring an intern more into the inner and everyday workings of OWM.  They are geared toward an intern who has at least 2 days a week to serve at OWM (at least 12 hours).  Host homes may be available.  The intern becomes a part of OWM’s staff and works on projects that advance the gospel around the world, geared toward building their skill set in their area.  Semester Internships are flexible with start and ending dates and work hours can be worked around the intern’s existing work or school schedule.  Many students use this internship for college credit.

Q: Why should I choose this internship?

A: OWM views the internship program as an education offering. You will gain valuable skills and experience in ministry and in your skilled area. You will also be surrounded and discipled by people whose heart is to be fully committed to Christ and His Kingdom. We are unique in that we train and educate students in their field as well as develop them spiritually.

Q: What are the next steps in the application process?

A: After you submit your online application the OneWay team will review your application & work samples and get back to you within two weeks. The next step of the interview process is a phone or face-to-face interview, possibly followed by an offer to intern with us.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: The summer internship has a program fee.  See our summer information for this year’s fee.

Q: I have financial needs during this internship.  What can I do?

A: Interns are able to raise support up to $3,000 through OneWay Ministries for a summer internship to cover the program fee and any financial needs they have.   Ask for a support-raising packet and information.  Students are also able to get a part-time job in the evenings or weekends.

Q: Is there a dress code at OneWay?

A: Nice casual attire.
