“Each one should use whatever gift he has received to serve others, faithfully administering God’s grace in its various forms.” 1 Peter 4:10
Common Questions…
Q: Is there a set time frame for the internships or can I intern for any length of time?
A: We know that college students have crazy schedules so we do not set a time frame for our internships. After being chosen for an OWM internship, you will be contacted by the ministry and we will then work with you to finalize the details of your internship including your start and end date. Although the majority of our interns come during the summer months, we also have opportunities for interns to work with OneWay for a semester or part-time and full-time throughout the year.
Q: Are the internships paid?
A: OWM internships are not paid, but you will come away will a lot of training in your area of interest and real world experience working in a non-profit ministry. Our ministry also has a strong focus on discipleship. Throughout your internship, our team will do our best to equip and train you in your area of ministry and, more importantly, help you deepen your relationship with Christ.
Q: Do I have to have any experience in order to intern at OWM?
A: No experience is necessary to intern at OneWay! All are welcome, whether you’ve been working with music and media production for years or just have a passion and desire to learn. We have staff willing and ready to train interns in all areas including video + web design + editing, graphic design, audio engineering, communications, public relations, and missions trip planning/coordination.
Q: Can I only choose one area of the ministry to work with or can I work on a variety of things?
A: If, after viewing the internship opportunities, you find yourself interested in several different areas of the ministry, we can design an internship based on your varied ministry interests.
Q: Can you tell me more information about the Botswana Missions Trip in July?
A: This summer we will be taking a team to work side by side with the OneWay Botswana national missionaries. For one week, the team will participate in the ongoing ministry to the villages, schools and prisons in the Maun area. Because Maun is in the heart of safari country, there will also be an opportunity to take in some of the beautiful creatures God has placed in that part of the world.
The dates of the mission are July 23-August 1 with the total estimated cost being $2700/person.
We are inviting the OWM family and all interns to join in the work of OneWay Botswana this summer!
